Launched in December 2014, HostingAdvice aims to be the "authority on all things hosting" and consists of four main content sections. This includes a comprehensive hosting basics guide, how-to articles, industry blog articles and expert hosting provider reviews. As the sole designer on this project, I created the logo, desktop and mobile website designs, original illustrations and branding material.
HostingAdvice was designed to have a distinctly "techy" feel and incorporates a bold color palette of orange and black as it's main brand colors. The main editorial sections of the website feature easy-to-navigate content. The hosting comparisons, deals and reviews portions of the site utilize conversion-oriented design.
A four-page flyer was created for HostingAdvice to be used at industry conferences to obtain content partnerships on the site. T-shirts were also created to be worn at conferences.
The mobile designs seen here are proposed designs for an updated mobile website for HostingAdvice. The design utilizes the latest SEO-optimized design standards and increases overall readability on the site.
Editorial content on HostingAdvice have accompanying cover images that match the branding of the company that is being written about. These images showcase my ability to adapt to the branding standards of any given company as well as my speed of creating these images, where I created an average of 70 images across all sites in a two-week period.
